Your rights and our promise

1. Our promise & your rights

We want you to love your Seethal Originals products. This policy explains how to return or exchange an item. It works alongside — and does not limit — your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA). Any return or warranty terms specific to a product are also stated in that product's description.

2. Change of mind — 7-day cooling-off

Because you buy online, you may cancel and return an order within 7 days of delivery for an exchange or refund, provided the item is:

  • unworn and unused,
  • in its original condition with all tags attached, and
  • in its original packaging.

For a change-of-mind return the cost of returning the item is for your account. To keep this affordable we accept PostNet-to-PostNet returns (the cheapest option). We'll refund the price you paid (excluding the original delivery fee) once we receive and inspect the item.

3. Faulty or defective items (factory faults)

If an item has a genuine factory fault or manufacturing defect, you're protected under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA). For a valid factory fault we will, at no cost to you:

  • arrange and cover the cost of the return, and
  • replace the item, subject to stock availability. If a replacement is out of stock, we'll hold the value as a credit on your account until stock arrives — or, if you prefer, refund you.

This cover is for manufacturing defects only, not normal wear and tear (see section 4). Your full rights in respect of defective goods are as set out in the CPA.

4. What is not covered

  • Normal wear and tear, fading or marks from everyday use and washing.
  • Misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or unauthorised alteration.
  • Items returned without tags or original packaging, or that have been worn or washed (except where genuinely faulty).
  • Damage that occurs after delivery and is not a manufacturing defect.

5. Damaged in transit or wrong item

If your order arrives damaged, or you receive the wrong item, please tell us within 24 hours of delivery (email info@seethaloriginals.co.za with your order number and a photo) so we can lodge a claim with the courier. We'll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

6. How to return an item

Easiest: go to My Account → Your orders and tap Request a return (available for 7 days after dispatch). Or email info@seethaloriginals.co.za with your order number and reason (and a photo for faulty or damaged items).

We'll confirm the return method. For change-of-mind returns we accept PostNet-to-PostNet — please keep your tracking slip, as the item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For faulty items we'll arrange the return for you.

7. Hygiene

Certain of our products — such as caps and other items worn on the body — can, for hygiene reasons, only be returned for change of mind if they are unworn and in original condition. Genuinely faulty items are always covered. Any product-specific return or warranty terms are stated in the product description.

8. Refunds & credits

Approved refunds are made to your original payment method, or as a credit to your Seethal Originals account if you prefer, within 7–10 business days of us receiving and inspecting the item. Store credit never expires and is applied automatically at your next checkout.

9. Proof of purchase

Please have your order number or invoice ready — it helps us process your return quickly. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the CPA or ECTA.
